Raining Frogs

Raining Frogs is one of the more whimsical weather effects in Mewgenics, dropping a handful of neutral frogs onto the battlefield at the start of each encounter. True to the biblical plague aesthetic that Edmund McMillen loves, frogs literally fall from the sky and land on random tiles.
Frogs are non-hostile by default. They wander the battlefield as neutral creatures and will not attack your cats unless provoked. This makes Raining Frogs one of the most benign creature-spawn weathers in the game, standing in stark contrast to aggressive spawn weathers like Alien Invasion or Restless Dead.
The main impact of Raining Frogs is tile clutter. Frogs occupy tiles that your cats or enemies might otherwise use for positioning, and they can block movement paths in tight arenas. In most cases, this is a minor inconvenience rather than a serious tactical problem.
Killing frogs can yield minor loot drops, so if you have spare actions and no pressing threats, clearing frogs for items is a reasonable use of a turn. The experience points from killing them are minimal, but the potential item drops can be worthwhile in resource-tight runs.
Raining Frogs can appear in any biome and is classified as an uncommon weather. It is generally one of the best creature-spawn outcomes you can roll, since the frogs add flavor without adding danger.
