Man In The Moon is the final boss of The Moon in Act 2, a massive scripted encounter that opens with a powerful breath attack pushing all units back 10 tiles across the board. This is not a conventional damage race; the fight revolves around manipulating the boss's own hands to break through his defenses. Man In The Moon is one of the most mechanically unique encounters in the game, demanding environmental manipulation over raw damage output.

The encounter features the Man In The Moon's two hands as separate entities (Moon Hand) that act independently on the battlefield. The core mechanic is that the boss loses his Brace if he punches himself, meaning you need to redirect his hands into hitting him. Rather than attacking the boss directly, your primary objective is controlling the movement and targeting of his hands so they collide with his face. The breath attack that pushes everything back 10 tiles creates constant repositioning pressure, so high-mobility cats and knockback resistance are extremely valuable here.

Focus on positioning your cats to bait or redirect the Moon Hands into slamming the boss rather than trying to chip away at his HP directly. Once his Brace is stripped from self-punching, he becomes vulnerable to conventional damage. Classes with Knockback, displacement abilities, or summons that can manipulate enemy movement patterns are ideal for this encounter. Keep your team braced against the breath attack by positioning near walls or obstacles that prevent full pushback. This is a puzzle-boss fight at heart; once you understand the hand-redirection mechanic, the encounter becomes much more manageable than it initially appears.
