Lycanthropy
33% chance to enter Wolf Form at the start of your turn.
Lycanthropy gives your cat a 33% chance to enter Wolf Form at the start of each turn. Wolf Form is a transformation that replaces your cat's normal abilities with a wolf-themed melee kit, typically featuring enhanced Strength, aggressive attacks, and Madness-like behavior. The transformation is involuntary and random, so you cannot reliably plan around when it will or will not trigger, adding significant unpredictability to every battle.
Lycanthropy is heritable and can pass from parent to kitten through breeding. It can also be acquired through events or applied with a Disorder Syringe from the Organ Grinder. The 33% trigger rate means roughly one in three turns will see your cat transform, which is frequent enough to be disruptive but not guaranteed. Wolf Form changes the cat's available actions for that turn, so any spells or abilities you planned to use may become inaccessible until the transformation ends.
Strategically, Lycanthropy works best on cats that are already built for melee combat, since Wolf Form's enhanced attacks complement an aggressive playstyle. Caster cats suffer the most because Wolf Form locks them out of their spells on transformation turns. The disorder pairs interestingly with Bird Flu (which starts battles in Mockingbird Form), as having multiple transformation sources can create chaotic but entertaining gameplay. If you want consistency in your cat's performance, Lycanthropy is a poor choice, but if you enjoy high-variance play, it can be rewarding when Wolf Form triggers at the right moment.
