Sensory Overload

You can only equip items in your trinket slot. All other equipment slots are locked.

Sensory Overload (Trinket) locks the cat into its trinket slot and nothing else. Every other piece of gear, weapon, helmet, collar, face armor, becomes impossible to wear. The Monkey Paw event's "An immensely powerful item" wish is the signature source: when the paw rolls a trinket for its reward, the cat discards everything else on its body to clutch the new charm, and Sensory Overload (Trinket) makes that commitment permanent.

Trinkets in Mewgenics are the weirdest, most build-defining slot in the game. They hand out unique passives, on-hit procs, stat packages, and sometimes entire subsystems you would not otherwise access. A trinket-only cat leans hard into whatever that single trinket does, which can be thrilling if the rolled trinket synergizes with the cat's class and abysmal if it does not. Compare this with Broken Limb, which also blocks the trinket slot but compensates with +2 Thorns; Sensory Overload (Trinket) is the opposite bet, surrendering four slots to keep the one that carries the most identity.

Sensory Overload (Trinket) is heritable and can also arrive via events, Monkey Paw, or an Organ Grinder Disorder Syringe. Because it shapes the entire cat around one accessory, the decision to keep or cure it should be made in the first zone after it lands. If the trinket is a run-defining artifact on a cat whose kit already depended on passives, leaving the disorder alone may be correct. In every other case, spend the Disorder Syringe charge to remove it and restore the cat's other slots.
