Wobbly Cat Syndrome

25% chance to block attacks and get knocked back 10 tiles instead.

Wobbly Cat Syndrome gives your cat a 25% chance to block incoming attacks entirely, but when the block triggers, the cat gets knocked back 10 tiles instead of taking damage. This creates a chaotic defensive mechanic where your cat frequently avoids damage but gets launched across the battlefield, disrupting your positioning and potentially landing in dangerous spots or off the edge of the map.

Wobbly Cat Syndrome is heritable and can pass from parent to kitten through breeding. It can also be acquired through events or applied with a Disorder Syringe from the Organ Grinder. The 25% block rate is quite high, meaning roughly one in four incoming attacks will trigger the knockback. The 10-tile distance is enormous, often sending the cat to the far side of the battlefield or into walls, obstacles, or other units.

Strategically, Wobbly Cat Syndrome is best on ranged attackers who do not mind being repositioned, since they can still contribute from wherever they land. Melee cats suffer because the knockback constantly pushes them away from their targets. The disorder can actually be beneficial in some situations by moving the cat out of dangerous positions or away from area-of-effect attacks. Pair it with Fossilized (which causes sliding like a rock when hit) for maximum knockback chaos, or avoid it entirely on cats that need to hold specific positions.
