Neckgrub

A parasitic grub familiar that clings to its host's neck and fights alongside its tamer. The Neckgrub is one of three grub-based familiars in Mewgenics, distinguished by its attachment point on the body.

Grub-type familiars share a parasitic theme — they latch onto organic hosts and grow through feeding. As a familiar, the Neckgrub has been tamed and now directs its parasitic energy toward enemies rather than its bonded cat. It likely deals modest melee damage and benefits from staying close to combat.

The Neckgrub, Facegrub, and Headgrub form a set of parasitic familiars that are thematically linked. If you have access to all three simultaneously, they collectively add multiple small bodies to the battlefield, which can be effective for blocking enemy movement and spreading damage across targets.
