Grub

A small grub familiar that accompanies its tamer into battle. Like other familiars, the Grub fights on behalf of its bonded partner, providing melee support in close-quarters combat.

The Grub is the base form of the grub-type parasitic familiars in Mewgenics. Smaller and likely weaker than its Headgrub, Facegrub, and Neckgrub variants, it still contributes to combat by acting as an extra unit on the field each round. It targets enemies autonomously once placed.

Even low-HP familiars like the Grub provide real value by intercepting attacks. An enemy that wastes its turn attacking a familiar instead of one of your cats can be the difference between surviving a tough encounter or losing a key party member. Keep it close to the action and let it soak up incidental hits.
