Cave Man No Spear

Cave Man No Spear is the unarmed form of the Cave Man, found in The Ice Age. Without a spear, he relies exclusively on multi-hit melee attacks, lacking the ranged capability and Stun chance of his armed counterpart. However, he will actively seek to pick up any spear available on the battlefield, upgrading his threat level mid-fight if one is within reach.

The Cave Man No Spear's behavior is predictable when unarmed: he will close to melee range and use his multi-hit combo. This makes him less dangerous than armed Cave Men, as he cannot Stun from range or threaten cats at distance. The real risk is allowing him access to a dropped spear, which immediately transitions him to the more dangerous armed state with ranged and Stun capabilities.

Destroying or keeping spears out of reach prevents the Cave Man No Spear from upgrading mid-fight. In encounters where spears are present on the field, position to block his path to them or destroy the spears proactively. Like all caveman-type enemies, he despises cats and will always prioritize them. The caveman-cat factional hatred can be exploited in mixed encounters to pit him against cat-type enemies like the Wooly Mammoth.
