Lenny is a massive, gentle-seeming brute found in The Bunker (Act 2, Chapter 2) — and one of the most mechanically unique mini-bosses in the game. With 130 HP, Strength 8, and Intelligence 0, he doesn't try to kill your cats outright. Instead, he announces a target at the start of combat and fixates on them, trampling any units in his path and — once he catches his quarry — scoops them up and retreats to a corner to hug them repeatedly for 3 damage per turn.
While holding a cat, Lenny faces the wall, creating a guaranteed backstab angle for attacking units. The captured cat can attempt Struggle (25% escape chance; 4 self-damage on failure) — this counts as a basic attack for ability proc purposes. If the held cat is killed, Lenny becomes aggressive and counter-attacks ranged attackers. His LennyShove counter-attack covers a 3-tile spread with knockback whenever he defends.
Mobility is the key counter: teleport or swap abilities prevent Lenny from reaching his target. Pre-emptively boost the target cat's health so they survive longer if grabbed. Stuns and slows delay his approach significantly. Once he has a cat cornered, exploit the backstab opportunity to deal massive damage while keeping ranged attackers at a safe angle. Do not kill the held cat — it removes your backstab advantage and triggers his enrage.
