Rager is a 30 HP enemy defined by its RageUp escalation mechanic. It starts each fight with standard melee attacks, but as it takes damage or time passes, it buffs itself with increasing rage, growing more powerful and dealing more damage with each stack. With evenly distributed base stats across all six attributes and 3 movement, it is a reliable frontline threat that becomes significantly more dangerous the longer it survives.
The RageUp ability means Rager rewards slow, careful play by punishing it: a Rager that has been chipped down over three or four turns but not killed will hit substantially harder than at the start of the fight. Its Champion form doubles to 60 HP, giving it far more room to accumulate rage stacks before going down.
Burst damage that can kill Rager in one or two turns before it reaches high rage stacks is the most efficient approach. If the kill cannot be secured quickly, crowd control such as Stun, Knockback, or Slow can delay its melee reach while DoT damage continues wearing it down. Leaving a Rager at half health for multiple turns is especially dangerous — treat eliminating it as a timed objective rather than a prolonged war of attrition.
