Robes

Movement: 3

Robes is an undead enemy found in The Boneyard with a deceptive two-phase lifecycle that makes it far more dangerous than its modest stats suggest. With only 4 HP behind 6 shield, 0 damage, and 3 movement, it appears to be a fragile support unit. But defeating Robes triggers its true threat: upon death it transforms into a Tatters, a heavily shielded undead with area Leech attacks and Hex retaliation, forcing players to contend with a second, often more dangerous enemy phase.

In its Robes form, the enemy fires an infinite-range attack that inflicts Leech 1, slowly draining health from your cats to sustain itself or nearby allies. It can also summon Wisps as reinforcements, adding more targets to an already crowded battlefield. Despite dealing no direct damage, the combination of health drain and minion generation means Robes steadily tilts the action economy against you if left alive. Its shield-heavy defense (6 shield protecting just 4 HP) means conventional attacks waste most of their damage on the shield layer.

Shield-piercing attacks are the most efficient way to handle Robes, cutting through to its tiny 4 HP pool for a quick kill. However, always plan for the Tatters that spawns afterward, as killing Robes without the resources to immediately handle Tatters just trades one problem for a worse one. Champions have 8 HP behind 12 shield with 4 movement, and their Tatters transformation is correspondingly tougher. In encounters with multiple Robes, stagger your kills so you do not face several Tatters simultaneously, and keep Wisp spawns under control to prevent the board from becoming unmanageable.
