Enemy
Seraphim
Movement: 2
Seraphim is a faceless divine enemy found in The Infinite chapter, with 15 HP, 4 Holy Shield, 5 damage, and 2 movement. Inspired by the seraphim of Abrahamic religious tradition, its design echoes the angel mini-bosses from The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, with the regular variant resembling Uriel and the champion variant resembling Gabriel. Like The Creator boss, Seraphim have no visible face, a reference to Exodus 33:20 in the Bible.
Seraphim attack in a diagonal Holy-element pattern and can resurrect fallen allies during combat, making them a high-priority support threat. Any unit that strikes or makes contact with a Seraphim is knocked back 5 tiles, creating significant distance and disrupting melee strategies. Most critically, Seraphim are completely immune to Holy damage and actually gain All Stats Up when struck by Holy attacks, meaning Holy-element abilities are not just useless but actively empower the enemy.
Non-Holy ranged attacks are the safest approach, as they avoid both the Holy immunity and the 5-tile knockback from melee contact. Prioritize killing Seraphim before other enemies to prevent resurrection cycles. Champion Seraphim have 30 HP, 8 Holy Shield, and 3 movement, making them substantially more durable and mobile. In encounters with multiple Seraphim, allowing even one to survive can undo your progress by reviving fallen allies.
