The Throbbing Turret is a stationary, fleshy organic turret found in The Throbbing Domain. With 10 HP and no movement, it functions as a fixed defensive emplacement that controls space through ranged area attacks and minion spawning. As part of the grotesque biological infrastructure of The Throbbing Domain, the Throbbing Turret transforms its section of the battlefield into a hazardous zone that punishes careless positioning.
The Throbbing Turret fires a ranged area attack that inflicts Bleed on all targets caught in the blast zone, creating ongoing damage pressure that compounds over multiple turns. Each attack also creates water tiles on the affected area, altering the terrain and potentially enabling other water-dependent enemies like the Water Leech. When no valid targets are within its firing range, the Throbbing Turret spawns Clots as fallback reinforcements, ensuring it contributes to the encounter even when it cannot attack directly. This dual-threat output of area Bleed damage and Clot spawning makes it a persistent problem that demands attention.
Since the Throbbing Turret cannot move, rushing it for a quick melee kill is often the best strategy if you can safely close the distance. Staying outside its firing range forces it to spawn Clots instead of dealing Bleed damage, which may be preferable if you have tools to handle small enemies efficiently. In encounters with Daddy Sharks or other Bleed-synergy enemies, eliminating the Throbbing Turret becomes critical, as the Bleed it applies can fuel bonus turns and aggression from those predators. The water tiles it creates can also complicate terrain if Water Leeches are present.
