Uberman

Genetically engineered super-human soldier.

Überman is a genetically engineered super-soldier from The Future chapter with 20 HP, strong Knockback on his melee strikes, and projectile reflection. He crawls slowly toward your formation but hits hard and inflicts Bruise on each hit, which reduces the target's damage output. His corpse remains a physical obstacle on the tile after death, blocking movement just as his living form does. He is the male counterpart to Überwoman and the human variant of the Über enemy type alongside Übercat.

Projectile reflection is the most tactically significant mechanic: any ranged or projectile attack bounces back and hits the cat that fired it. This entirely nullifies ranged-heavy builds and forces melee or non-projectile ability engagement. Bruise accumulation from repeated hits compounds quickly if Überman connects with multiple cats in the same fight. The persisting corpse adds a long-term terrain consideration even after he is dead.

Only melee attacks or non-projectile abilities deal damage reliably. High-burst melee cats that can close, strike, and finish him before his Knockback can disrupt the formation are the cleanest counter. His slow movement gives time to position before engagement. Consider maneuvering him into striking his own allies through displacement, as mutual Bruise application can weaken the whole enemy formation simultaneously. Clear his corpse from choke-point tiles to restore movement options after the fight.
