Paper Set

The Paper Set cleverly overcomes its own fragility by removing both the Fragile and Brittle downsides from its pieces, turning what looks like disposable gear into a reliable offense-support option. The +1 Bleed Thorns means enemies who hit you take ongoing bleed damage, complementing builds that lean into bleed stacks or attrition play. A counterintuitive but effective combo.

Paper Set pieces use paper, origami, and parchment-themed gear across head, neck, and face slots. Each piece carries the Fragile and Brittle properties by default, which would normally make them near-unusable. The 3-piece set bonus removes both Fragile and Brittle from all Paper Set pieces, making them permanently stable. Additionally, the set grants +1 Bleed Thorns: any enemy who hits you in melee receives a Bleed stack, which deals damage over time.

Paper Set is a niche but functional Thorns set for bleed-focused builds. The Bleed Thorns pairs well with the Cactus Set's standard Thorns for a character that punishes melee attackers with both direct and bleeding damage. Similar to Leather Set, the Paper Set functions partly as a self-improvement mechanic — completing it stabilizes your own gear while also adding the Bleed Thorns bonus. Best on tanks who deliberately absorb many melee hits, making each attack a source of bleed damage dealt back to enemies.
