Barbed Scrap

A face plate hammered from scavenged metal scraps, bristling with barbs. Shield:4 provides defense, Thorns punishes melee attackers with return damage, and DamageUp amplifies all outgoing damage. The Metal tag adds synergy with metal-affecting abilities. A strong offensive face slot for aggressive melee builds that want to both deal and return damage in close quarters.

Thorns deals a fixed amount of damage back to each enemy that strikes the wearer in melee, making every enemy attack partially self-destructive. The more melee hits the wearer receives, the more total thorns damage accumulates. DamageUp increases all outgoing damage from the wearer — abilities, basic attacks, and any damage proc all benefit. The Metal tag may interact with Magnetism abilities that throw or attract metal objects and units.

Barbed Scrap is ideal for brawler builds that wade into close combat and expect to trade hits. The combination of DamageUp and Thorns means the wearer both hits harder and punishes enemies for retaliating. Pairs naturally with Spiked Collar or similar neck items for stacked melee retaliation. Competes with Gemstone Bones for melee-reactive face slots — Barbed Scrap is more offensive, Gemstone Bones is more reactive with status layering.
