Sacred ashes pressed into a paste and applied to the face as a blessing. Shield:3 provides decent protection, and StatusOnTookDamage fires a debuff against the attacker each time damage lands. A solid uncommon face slot for reactive builds — the more the wearer is hit, the more debuffs enemies accumulate.

StatusOnTookDamage fires on every instance of damage taken — multiple hits in a single turn each trigger independently. This means tanky builds that absorb many small hits generate significantly more debuff pressure than builds that take occasional large hits. The debuff applies to the attacker, not in an area, so it's most effective against single concentrated attackers who strike repeatedly.

Blessed Ashes is a simple, reliable option for any frontline melee tank that lacks better face armor early. The combination of Shield and reactive debuffing is efficient at its rarity tier. Upgrade to Gemstone Bones or Recycled Ball Gag when available for more reactive passives, or Miner Implant when status immunity becomes the priority. Works well as a placeholder face item through the early and mid game.
