Cryogenic Time Chamber

An empty Cryogenic Time Chamber awaiting the Throbbing King's heart. In this state, it causes all enemy bodies to revive to 30% health at the end of each round (bosses excluded) and rewards a random pill at the end of each battle. Once the heart is inserted, it upgrades into its filled form. A key quest item in the Throbbing King storyline.

The 30% revival is less punishing than the filled Chamber's full-health revival, but still requires your team to finish off revived enemies or deal with them a second time. The random pill reward each battle is a consistent passive income of consumables that can meaningfully supplement your run while carrying the empty Chamber. Revived enemies at 30% health can often be cleared quickly, so the revival mechanic is manageable as long as your team has reliable finisher attacks.

The empty Chamber is primarily a quest carrier item — find the Throbbing King, collect the heart, and upgrade it to the filled form. The pill reward makes it worthwhile to equip on an active combatant rather than a backline cat, since more battles means more pills. Once filled, plan your route to the Lab's time machine to complete the quest and stop the revival mechanic from escalating.
