Lead Shoulder Pads

Lead Shoulder Pads are an uncommon armor piece in the Lead set with +6 Shield and -1 Speed, applying Metal status to the wearer. The stat profile is identical to the Lead Mask — high Shield at the cost of Speed and lightning vulnerability. Part of the Lead set alongside the Frying Pan and Lead Mask; if you're already accepting Metal status for the backstab protection of the Frying Pan, adding this in the neck slot piles on more Shield without introducing new tradeoffs.

+6 Shield is among the highest in the neck slot for its rarity tier, making Lead Shoulder Pads a premium defensive piece when raw protection matters. The -1 Speed penalty is manageable on slower frontline cats, and the Metal status is an accepted weakness in the Lead set where multiple items share it. Running Lead Mask and Lead Shoulder Pads together stacks the Shield significantly while concentrating the Metal vulnerability on one cat.

Best on a heavy frontline tank that can afford the Speed loss and doesn't face many electric enemies. In runs without electric threats, the Metal status is irrelevant and Lead Shoulder Pads simply provide exceptional Shield for the neck slot. The Lead set connection means pairing with Pipe (Stun on basic attack) and Railroad Spikes creates a consistent physical damage and crowd-control build with high defensive bulk. Avoid it in lightning-heavy zones where Metal doubles the punishment from every electric hit.
