Mangy Wig

The Mangy Wig is an uncommon head armor in the Used set that spawns one Spiderling familiar at the start of each battle for every 4 points of Luck the wearer has. With 8 Luck you start with 2 Spiderlings; 12 Luck gives you 3 — and so on. The scaling makes it increasingly powerful as Luck accumulates across a run. It references Mom's Wig from The Binding of Isaac, which works on the same principle.

Luck-stacking items like the Cat Paw (+2 Luck) and Lucky Hat (+1 Luck) directly feed the Mangy Wig's output. In a run where multiple pieces grant Luck, the Wig can field a meaningful swarm before the first turn. The head slot cost is significant since other powerful hats compete for it, but a high-Luck build gets unique value here that nothing else provides.
