Quest
Nuke is a legendary quest neck armor providing +10 Shield and +2 Brace at the cost of -2 Speed. Its signature ability, Trigger the Nuke, deals 50 magic damage to every combatant on the field — friend and foe alike — and automatically detonates if the wearer is defeated. Obtaining it requires a lengthy multi-step quest involving Dr. Beanies, the Throbbing King's blood, and The Infinite; using it prematurely permanently removes it from the run.
The 50 magic damage hits every unit on the field, which means your own cats take the same hit as enemies unless they have sufficient Shield, Brace, or other damage mitigation. At +10 Shield and +2 Brace, the wearer can absorb a significant chunk of the blast, but other party members need independent protection to survive a manual detonation. The auto-detonate on death adds a built-in deterrent — any enemy that downs the Nuke carrier immediately triggers the blast and likely gets wiped in the process.
The Nuke is primarily a boss-killing and emergency panic button. Save Trigger the Nuke for fights where enemies have grouped up or where a single boss needs to be taken from high health to zero in one go. Builds with high Shield across the whole team can exploit the Nuke more freely since allied casualties become manageable. If you are carrying the Nuke as a passive deterrent without ever firing it, the +10 Shield and +2 Brace alone make it one of the strongest neck armors in the game.
