Pairs naturally with abilities or armor that boost survivability to keep the procs coming.

StatusOnTookDamage triggers once for each hit that connects against the wearer, meaning in high-damage multi-hit encounters, the status proc rate accelerates dramatically. Unlike turn-end triggers, this fires immediately on each damage event, creating real-time status generation that responds to the enemy's attack frequency. The type of status generated can include buffs applied to the wearer, debuffs applied to attackers, or area effects, depending on the run's status pool.

Best equipped on cats with high HP and Brace or Shield layers that allow them to absorb many hits without dying, since the sustained incoming damage is what drives the status output. In encounters with swarm-type enemies that attack frequently but deal low individual damage, Prayer Beads generates an enormous number of status procs across the fight. Combine with healing abilities or health regeneration to stay alive long enough to maintain the proc stream through the full fight.
