Prowler's Vial

Uncommon neck armor from the Prowler set. Triggers a status effect whenever you land a backstab. Backstabs require attacking from the side or rear, so the Prowler set rewards cats that circle around enemies rather than charging head-on. Combine with the Prowler's Cap (backstab crit chance) and Prowler's Mask (backstab status) for a full set where backstabs deal critical hits and stack multiple debuffs at once.

StatusOnBackstab fires once per successful backstab hit. Unlike the Mask's AddStatusToBackstabs which attaches the status directly to the backstab damage, the Vial's proc is a separate trigger — meaning both pieces can fire different status effects on the same backstab if worn together. This makes the Vial and Mask a strong combo, applying two different debuffs per backstab while the Cap ensures those hits crit.

The Vial alone is a decent neck armor for flanking cats even without the full set — any status on backstab adds value to a build already trying to get behind enemies. In the full Prowler set, the Vial becomes the third layer of payoff on each backstab: guaranteed crit from the Cap, status embedded in the hit from the Mask, and a separate status proc from the Vial. Great for assassin-type cats built around high mobility and positioning rather than raw stats.
