Recycled Mask

A face armor from The Junkyard, part of the Recycled set. It provides +2 Shield with the Brittle tag, so it can shatter under the right conditions. When broken, it triggers StatusOnBreak, providing a last-gasp proc before it disappears.

Like the Recycled Necklace, this mask's value is partly in its destruction: the StatusOnBreak trigger fires when the Brittle condition causes it to shatter. Unlike the Necklace, the Mask does not drop an item on break — the payoff is purely the status proc itself. The +2 Shield is solid for a face slot before higher-tier gear becomes available.

Good filler armor when scouting The Junkyard. Because breakage is somewhat unpredictable, don't build a strategy around the StatusOnBreak proc firing at a specific moment. Treat the +2 Shield as the primary benefit and consider the break trigger a bonus. Part of the Recycled set, so stacking multiple Recycled pieces may be worthwhile if you can manage the fragility.
