For builds stacking damage-over-time, this is one of the most efficient tools available: two status effects per swing in a single weapon slot, with no hit damage that might complicate kill-credit for synergies like Fork or Sharp Straw. Against targets you plan to fight for multiple turns, compounding Poison and Bleed ticks add up significantly.
