Slag Tight

Slag Tight is a head armor item that provides 5 Shield and grants access to the Brace ability, while also appending a status effect to basic attacks via AddStatusToBasicAttack. It carries a steep INT -4 penalty, making it one of the heaviest intelligence costs of any head item in the game. It is firmly a physical fighter's helmet.

The Shield: 5 provides a damage buffer that absorbs hits before HP is touched. Brace is a defensive ability that further reduces incoming damage, stacking with the shield to create strong layered mitigation. AddStatusToBasicAttack means every normal attack also applies a secondary debuff, so the helmet contributes both to staying alive and to softening enemies. The INT -4 penalty will gut any ability or mechanic that scales off intelligence.

Ideal for STR-based frontliners, Warriors, and bruiser builds that make frequent basic attacks and need reliable survivability. The Brace ability rewards positioning in chokepoints or against enemies that deal burst damage. Avoid on any build that uses INT for scaling — losing 4 INT is crippling for casters and hybrids. When paired with other status-on-hit items, Slag Tight enables a status-stacking physical build with a strong defensive floor.
