Sleep Dart

Sleep Dart is a ranged weapon automatically granted by the Hunter class's Sleep Darts passive. At the start of each battle, any allied cat without a weapon receives a temporary Sleep Dart. It fires a straight ranged attack that deals 1 damage and inflicts Sleep 1, making it an excellent early-battle control tool for disabling high-priority targets before they can act.

This single-charge version gives one shot per armed cat, so target selection matters. Sleep 1 causes the afflicted unit to lose their next action, which is most valuable against fast enemies who would otherwise get the first hit in. The dart's straight trajectory means positioning your cats with clear lanes to the intended target is essential — obstacles or other units between the shooter and the target will block the shot.

The Hunter class thrives when paired with cats who lack weapons, since every unarmed ally becomes a dart-thrower. In larger parties or when multiple Hunters are present, the opening volley of darts can neutralize several enemy threats before anyone takes damage. Even a single dart used to delay a boss's first action can shift the outcome of a difficult fight in your favor.
