Small Rune

A common trinket that grants a flat 10% dodge chance — identical in effect to Conjoined Eye. Modest on its own, but stacks with other evasion sources. Worth equipping when nothing better is available or when building a dodge-heavy cat.

As a common-rarity piece, Small Rune appears frequently enough that you can stack two dodge sources early without hunting for rare items. Running it alongside Conjoined Eye pushes dodge to 20%, and adding Angelic Protection's ChanceToBackflip on top creates a cat that avoids a meaningful fraction of all incoming attacks passively. Dodge doesn't reduce damage; it negates the hit entirely, which also prevents on-hit debuffs from landing.

The best use case is on fragile backline cats — Mages, supports, or any cat that can't take many direct hits. Even 10% dodge reduces incoming damage over a long fight in a statistically meaningful way. It competes with crit trinkets and special-effect trinkets for the same slot, so evaluate whether your current build benefits more from offense or from survivability before slotting it.
