Sniper Rifle

A very rare weapon with 2–4 uses that fires a shot up to 20 tiles away — instakilling any normal unit and dealing 25 damage to bosses. Bypasses Shield and Holy Shield on bosses. Notable synergies: Rune of Hagalaz causes it to fire twice per use, Blacksmith can restore charges through basic attacks for near-infinite uses, and Soul Link converts the 25 boss damage to a percentage of the boss's max health. One of the most powerful single-target weapons in the game.

The instant-kill on normal units is exceptional for floor clearing — any non-boss enemy simply dies regardless of HP or defenses. Against bosses, 25 shield-piercing damage per shot is among the highest sustained damage available, and with 2-4 uses that's 50-100 direct boss damage guaranteed. The Rune of Hagalaz doubling to 2 shots per use effectively doubles total output. The Blacksmith interaction removes the durability constraint entirely, transforming it into a repeatable primary weapon.

One of the most powerful items in the game and a run-defining pickup. Prioritize getting Blacksmith if found alongside a Sniper Rifle for near-unlimited shots. Soul Link interaction makes it exceptional against high-HP bosses where percentage-based damage scales massively. Save shots for bosses and elite enemies — the insta-kill property on normal units is excellent but shouldn't burn charges that would matter more against a boss.
