Wooly Beard's Brace passive sets it apart from Sabertooth Pelt and Sabertooth Hat — while those two share the same immunity passives, Wooly Beard swaps HealthRegenUp and Thorns respectively for Brace, which prevents knockback and displacement. This makes Wooly Beard the most "immovable" of the three pieces, particularly valuable against enemies with push/pull abilities that would displace your frontliner out of a favorable position.

The full Sabertooth set (Pelt + Wooly Beard + Sabertooth Hat) provides triple immunity coverage, Brace, Thorns, and Shield — one of the most comprehensive defensive packages available at common rarity. Wearing just Wooly Beard alone is still strong; combining it with Sabertooth Pelt and Hat unlocks the complete anti-elemental, anti-status fortress build.
