Elite Buff: Mirror
Reflects all projectiles. Takes 2 damage when it reflects a projectile.
Internal engine status effect. This is the status applied to elite enemies with the Mirror modifier. Mirror causes the enemy to reflect a portion of damage or projectiles back at the attacker, similar to the Reflect status.
Mirror grants permanent projectile reflection to the elite at a cost of 2 damage per reflection. This means the elite damages itself slightly each time it reflects, creating a slow self-inflicted damage source. However, the reflected projectile deals its full original damage back to the attacker, which is typically far more damaging than the 2-point self-hit.
Against Mirror enemies, switch to melee attacks, area-of-effect spells, or non-projectile abilities to bypass the reflection entirely. Using strong ranged projectiles against a Mirror elite can backfire catastrophically, potentially one-shotting your own cat with reflected damage. If your team is entirely ranged, the Mirror elite must be approached differently. Alternatively, low-damage rapid-fire projectiles trigger reflection but deal minimal reflected damage, though this also triggers the elite's 2-damage self-hit per reflection.
