Status Effect

Elite Buff: Undying

Revives to 50% health at the end of the round. +2 Corpse Health.

Internal engine status effect. This is the status applied to elite enemies with the Undying modifier. Undying prevents the enemy from dying the first time they reach zero health, instead reviving them with a portion of health restored.

The revived form may have altered stats or behavior, tracked by the Elite Buff: Undying (Sub) status. Essentially an enemy version of Auto Revive, Undying forces you to kill the enemy twice, which extends the fight and can catch unprepared teams off guard. The revival typically restores a significant portion of health, so overkill damage on the first death is wasted.

Plan your damage output knowing you need two kill's worth of total damage. Save burst abilities and crowd control for the second phase rather than spending everything on the first death. Damage-over-time effects are efficient since they continue ticking through the revival transition. In multi-enemy encounters, Undying extends the fight duration, so managing mana and Exhaustion timers is important.
