Internal engine status effect. This is the boss-specific variant of the Reactive elite buff. Reactive causes the enemy to emit Sparkle projectiles (random magic damage) whenever it takes damage, via the Kinetic Spikes mechanic.

The boss version functions identically to the standard Reactive elite buff, granting +1 Kinetic Spikes. Each time the boss takes damage, it emits 1 Sparkle per Kinetic Spikes stack, dealing 1 random magic damage to a nearby unit. Multi-hit attacks trigger multiple Sparkle emissions, making rapid-fire strategies risky as they generate more random magic damage in the area.

The random targeting of Sparkles means they can hit either your cats or other enemies, adding chaos to the fight. Concentrated single-hit damage minimizes the number of Sparkle emissions per damage dealt. SpellShield or magic resistance helps mitigate the random magic damage. The standard version, Elite Buff: Reactive, applies the same mechanic to non-boss elites.
