Internal engine status effect. This is the boss-specific variant of the Slightly Depressing elite buff. Slightly Depressing creates a mild depression aura around the enemy that reduces nearby cats' stats. The boss version may have a wider radius or stronger stat reduction than the standard elite variant.
The aura from Slightly Depressing (Boss) applies a constant stat debuff to all cats within range, weakening damage output, accuracy, and survivability simultaneously. While the individual stat reduction is mild compared to the full Depressing variant, the persistent nature of the aura means it compounds over the course of a long boss fight.
Ranged cats can stay outside the aura radius while still dealing damage, making them the preferred option. If melee engagement is necessary, buff your cats with All Stats Up or individual stat buffs to offset the depression aura. Burst strategies that minimize time spent near the boss also reduce the aura's cumulative impact. The standard version, Elite Buff: Slightly Depressing, applies weaker effects to non-boss elites.
