Internal engine status effect. This is the boss-specific variant of the Sticky elite buff, applied to boss enemies that spawn with the Sticky modifier. Boss variants typically have stronger scaling or different parameters than the standard elite version. Sticky causes the enemy to slow or immobilize cats that attack them in melee, as if coated in adhesive.
The boss version of Sticky may feature a stronger slow effect, longer duration, or wider area of influence compared to the standard Elite Buff: Sticky. Since bosses already have larger health pools and more dangerous attacks, the added movement penalty from Sticky Boss forces players to commit carefully to melee engagements. Cats that get stuck near the boss may be unable to retreat from follow-up attacks.
Ranged cats and abilities that do not require adjacency are the safest approach against a Sticky boss. If melee engagement is necessary, high Speed cats can better absorb the movement penalty while still repositioning. Knockback effects can help create distance after a melee strike connects. Consider pairing melee attackers with movement-granting buffs like Bonus Move to offset the slow.
