Firestorm

FireStorm: 0; SpawnExtraThingsOnBattleStart: {"tile":"FireTile","number":[2,5]}

Firestorm is one of the most punishing weather effects in Mewgenics, creating a Persistent Fire Element that amplifies all fire damage while making every fire on the battlefield permanent. Under normal conditions, fire tiles eventually burn out on their own. During a Firestorm, they never do.

This single mechanic transforms the battlefield into a progressively shrinking safe zone. Every fire-element ability used by either side, every Fire Tile that spawns, every chain reaction from flammable grass or oil: all of it stays. By the middle of a fight, large portions of the arena may be completely impassable due to accumulated fire hazards. By the late turns, you may be fighting on a handful of safe tiles surrounded by flames.

The Persistent Fire Element also amplifies all fire-based abilities and dampens Ice. Fire-element enemies become significantly more dangerous, and Ice-focused team compositions will find their abilities weakened. The combination of stronger enemy fire attacks and permanent fire terrain creates a compounding threat that makes long fights extremely dangerous.

Water abilities are the critical survival tool during Firestorms. Any ability that creates water tiles or applies the Wet status can extinguish fire tiles, reclaiming safe terrain for your team. Cats with water-creation abilities should be considered near-mandatory when entering a Firestorm zone. Without them, the fire accumulation will eventually trap your team.

The most effective strategy against Firestorm is to end fights as quickly as possible. Every turn that passes allows more fire to accumulate. Aggressive rush builds that can eliminate enemies before the arena becomes unmanageable are strongly favored. Firestorm is classified as a rare weather and can appear in any biome.
