Snow
Snow: 1
Snow is a weather effect in Mewgenics that creates a Persistent Ice Element across the battlefield, boosting Ice-based abilities while dampening the effectiveness of Water. It is one of the more straightforward weather effects in the game, offering a clean elemental buff without the chaotic side effects that many other weathers carry.
Under Snow, any ability with an Ice component deals increased damage and has improved chances of inflicting Freeze and other cold-related status effects. Cats built around Ice synergies, such as those with Ice Element mutations or Ice-scaling abilities, will see a noticeable power spike. Water-based abilities are weakened in return, making Water-focused team compositions less effective.
Snow has one critical biome-specific interaction that players need to be aware of. In The Sewers (Act 1), Snow causes the zone's mini-boss encounter to change from The Flushmaster to a different boss called Frostbiter. The Flushmaster and Frostbiter have entirely different attack patterns, abilities, and weaknesses, so encountering Snow before a Sewers run means you need to prepare for a fundamentally different boss fight. Frostbiter leans heavily into Ice-based attacks and cold terrain manipulation, which can be devastating if your team lacks Fire abilities or cold resistance.
Snow can appear in any biome and is a common weather effect. It does not create wind displacement, random hazards, or extra enemies, making it one of the "cleaner" weathers to play around. If your team has any Ice synergies, Snow is a welcome sight.
