Overview
Lord Bunga is the Adventure Boss of the Ice Age zone. With 360 HP, he sits as a significant late-game encounter. Lord Bunga is the lord of the Cavemen tribe, sitting on a throne made from the remnants of his enemies with a baby perched on top of his head. The fight has two distinct phases and features two Bunga's Champion minions (100 HP each) that complicate the encounter.
Phase Structure
Phase 1: The Champions
Lord Bunga starts the fight sitting passively on his throne. Two of Bunga's Champions (100 HP, 4 ATK each) fight on his behalf. During this phase, focus on taking out the Champions while being mindful that damaging Lord Bunga will eventually trigger Phase 2.
Phase 2: Enraged Bunga
Once both Champions are defeated or Bunga drops below 150 HP, the baby on his head begins smacking him furiously to wake him up. Bunga then grabs the baby, screams at it, and devours it before joining the fight in a bloodthirsty craze. In this phase, Bunga will instantly consume any unit adjacent to him at the start of each turn and retaliates with a counterattack every time he is hit.
Strategy
The key to this fight is controlling when Phase 2 triggers. Ideally, eliminate both Champions first so you can focus entirely on Bunga without dealing with adds. Avoid splashing damage onto Bunga during Phase 1 to prevent triggering his rage early.
In Phase 2, never end a turn with a cat adjacent to Lord Bunga. He will consume adjacent units at the start of each turn, which is an instant kill. Use ranged attacks and knockback abilities to keep distance. Bunga is not immune to knockback, so cats can shove him away to avoid being eaten on his next turn.
Entangle is extremely effective here: if a cat can cast it every round, Bunga stays permanently locked down and cannot reach your party. Combine this with ranged damage to safely whittle down his 360 HP without ever risking the consume mechanic.
