Bunga's Champion

Bunga's Champion is one of two elite warriors who accompany Lord Bunga during the Ice Age boss fight, fighting alongside him in the first phase of the encounter. With 100 HP and 5 damage, each Champion is a formidable combatant in their own right, capable of hurling a spear with a chance to Stun on hit. They can also cast spells shared with other caveman-type enemies, and trample units while moving.

Once disarmed of their spears, the Champions switch to a devastating three-hit melee combo capable of quickly killing downed cats. If hit while carrying spears, the spears can be deflected back to Stun the Champions or even Lord Bunga himself, creating an opportunity for crowd control. Interestingly, keeping their spears intact actually makes their behavior more predictable, as they will prioritize retrieving them rather than pursuing cats.

Defeating both Champions (or halving Lord Bunga's HP) triggers the second phase of the boss fight where Lord Bunga himself enters the fray directly. Managing the Champions is the key to the first phase: exploiting spear deflection for stuns, deciding whether to keep them armed for predictable behavior or disarm them at the risk of triggering their melee combo, and positioning to avoid their Trample charges. Like all caveman faction enemies, they hate cats and will always prioritize targeting them.
