Disorder
Flaming Fists
Your basic attacks inflict Burn 1. Start with Burn 1.
Flaming Fists causes your cat's basic attacks to inflict Burn 1 on the target, adding fire damage over time to every melee swing. The catch is that your cat also starts each battle with Burn 1 on itself, meaning you take fire damage at the start of the run until the burn wears off or is cleansed. This creates an interesting risk-reward dynamic where your basic attacks become significantly more dangerous, but you need a plan to handle your own burning status.
Flaming Fists is heritable and can pass to kittens through breeding. It can also appear from events or be applied with a Disorder Syringe from the Organ Grinder. The self-inflicted Burn 1 at battle start is relatively minor (it ticks down quickly), but it can be dangerous in early battles before your cat has enough HP to absorb the chip damage. Pairing this disorder with the Charred disorder, which makes your cat immune to burning, would completely negate the downside while keeping the offensive burn application.
Strategically, Flaming Fists shines on cats with high attack speed or multi-hit basic attacks, since each hit applies Burn 1 separately, stacking the burn effect rapidly on targets. It pairs well with fire-focused builds and items that amplify burn damage or duration. Classes that rely heavily on basic attacks rather than spells get the most value from this disorder. Be cautious about pairing it with other self-damage disorders like Spontaneous Combustion, as the combined chip damage can become overwhelming without healing support.
