Disorder
Kamikaze
You explode when you are downed.
Kamikaze causes your cat to explode when it is downed, dealing area-of-effect damage to all nearby units. The explosion triggers automatically upon death, turning the cat's final moment into a last-resort offensive action. The explosion hits everything adjacent to the cat's death location, including allies, so positioning at the moment of death matters.
Kamikaze is heritable and can pass from parent to kitten through breeding. It can also be acquired through events or applied with a Disorder Syringe from the Organ Grinder. The explosion deals damage to all adjacent units upon death, making it a conditional area-of-effect attack. The damage likely scales with the cat's stats, so a high-Strength cat will produce a more devastating explosion. The disorder has no effect during normal combat and only triggers at death.
Strategically, Kamikaze is a insurance policy that guarantees value even when the cat dies. It pairs well with Borrowed Time (Doomed 3, guaranteed death in 3 turns) and Schrodinger's Syndrome (50% chance to start dead), both of which can trigger the explosion reliably. On expendable cats or those designed to die quickly, Kamikaze adds a final burst of damage. It is less valuable on cats you want to keep alive, since the disorder provides no benefit during normal combat. Dark One combined with Kamikaze creates a death-cycling engine where expendable allies explode when they go down.
