Disorder

Paraplegic

The range of all your movement, dash, and jump abilities are capped at 1 unless they teleport.

Paraplegic severely limits your cat's mobility by capping the range of all movement, dash, and jump abilities at 1 tile, unless the ability teleports. This means your cat can only move one tile at a time through conventional movement, turning what should be quick repositioning into a slow crawl across the battlefield. Teleportation abilities bypass this restriction entirely, making them essential for any Paraplegic cat that needs to get around.

Paraplegic is heritable and can pass from parent to kitten through breeding. It can also be acquired through events or applied with a Disorder Syringe from the Organ Grinder. Unlike Gargantuan which prevents movement entirely, Paraplegic still allows 1-tile movement per action, so your cat is not completely stationary. However, the restriction on dash and jump ranges means that mobility abilities which normally cover large distances are reduced to minimal range.

Strategically, Paraplegic is best managed by equipping the cat with teleportation abilities or items that bypass the movement cap. Classes or builds that have access to teleport spells can largely ignore this restriction. Ranged attackers and casters who do not need to move much also handle Paraplegic better than melee fighters. If your cat has no teleportation options, consider replacing this disorder, as being limited to 1-tile movement puts you at a severe tactical disadvantage in fights that require positioning.
