Big Slime

Big Slime is a sentient pile of slime and miniboss found in The Caves. With 64 HP (76 as Champion) and 10 damage per melee hit, it is a heavy-hitting frontline threat that tramples opponents and charges at the end of its final turn each round.
Big Slime's defining trait is its splitting mechanic: on death it divides into four Medium Slimes, each of which splits into four Small Slimes on death. A single Big Slime kill can ultimately produce up to 16 Small Slimes — turning what seemed like a completed fight into a frantic cleanup operation. The charge attack at the end of its turn cycle can cover significant distance.
Reserve AoE abilities for the Medium and Small Slime phases rather than burning them on Big Slime itself. Handle one Medium Slime chain at a time to avoid being overwhelmed by 16 simultaneous Small Slimes. Ranged cats should maintain distance throughout to avoid Big Slime's high-damage trample and charge, using those positions to clean up spawned slimes efficiently.
