Caveman Chief

The Caveman Chief is the leader of the Ice Age chapter's caveman faction. With 30 HP, 15 starting shield, and movement 2, it is a durable melee threat that also functions as a commander. Its melee attack inflicts Stun, and it specifically targets enemies at 10 HP or below for finishing blows. It buffs its humanoid allies and can grant them extra turns, making the fight harder the longer the Chief remains alive.
The Chief's Stun attack is threatening on any cat, and its kill-shot behavior means wounded cats below 10 HP become prime targets for immediate execution. Its buff to humanoid allies applies to player-aligned humanoids as well, which is an unusual wrinkle. It can also instantly destroy objects like rocks, giving it effective environmental control. Champion Caveman Chiefs have 60 HP and are significantly harder to bring down.
Prioritize healing or protecting any cat that falls below 10 HP when the Caveman Chief is alive — it will immediately redirect toward them for a finish. Shield-breaking attacks or bleed bypass the Chief's 15-shield buffer before the HP pool. Kill the Chief early to stop the ally buff and extra-turn effects from cascading. Stun immunity or cleanse reduces the impact of its primary attack. Cats with ice abilities can pressure the Chief and other Ice Age enemies simultaneously.
