Dino Nest
Movement: 0
Dino Nest is a stationary spawner found in The Jurassic chapter. It has no movement and no direct offensive capability; it simply sits on the battlefield and produces Raptor Kittens each turn. While the Nest itself is harmless, the steady stream of Raptor Kittens it generates creates mounting pressure that can quickly overwhelm an unprepared party.
Each Raptor Kitten that hatches from the Nest inflicts Bleed with its melee attack and immediately retreats after striking, making them persistent hit-and-run threats. Left unchecked, a single Dino Nest can flood the battlefield with bleeding, evasive Raptor Kittens within a few turns. The Bleed stacking feeds into Sharky-type enemies' bonus turn mechanics if they share the encounter, creating a dangerous synergy chain.
Destroying the Dino Nest as early as possible is the most important tactical decision in any encounter where it appears. Since it cannot move or fight back, a single cat with ranged attacks can eliminate it without risk. Prioritize the Nest over individual Raptor Kittens: killing the source is always more efficient than dealing with each spawn individually. In encounters with multiple Nests, split your damage to shut them all down before the Raptor Kitten swarm becomes unmanageable.
