Enemy

Raptor Kitten

Movement: 3

Raptor Kitten is a small Jurassic enemy found in The Jurassic chapter, often spawned by Dino Nest encounters. With only 6 HP it is fragile, but its hit-and-run attack pattern makes it far more annoying than its health pool suggests. Like all Kitten variants, it shares the core evasive behavior of retreating after engaging, but the Raptor Kitten takes this further by moving a significant distance away after each strike.

Its melee attack inflicts Bleed on contact, then the Raptor Kitten immediately retreats far from its target. This makes counter-attacks nearly impossible for melee-focused cats, as the enemy is already out of range by the time your turn comes around. The Bleed it applies feeds directly into the extra-turn mechanics of Sharky-type enemies if they share the encounter, creating a dangerous feedback loop where bleeding cats trigger additional Sharky attacks each round.

Ranged attacks and guaranteed-hit abilities are the most reliable counters, since the Raptor Kitten's evasive retreat makes each melee exchange one-sided. Area-of-effect abilities can catch it before it escapes. In mixed encounters with Raptors and other Jurassic enemies, prioritize Raptor Kittens early to prevent Bleed from stacking across your party and empowering pack-hunting predators.
