Draven

Draven is a two-phase Druid-class cat miniboss with 70 HP, 3 damage, 4 movement, and 5 Luck, found in The Lab. His name is likely a reference to Eric Draven from the 1994 film The Crow, and it also means "Hunter" or "of the raven" in Gaelic. Draven begins the fight flanked by two loyal crows, creating a multi-target encounter that requires tactical prioritization before the real threat emerges.

In Phase 1, Draven himself does not attack directly. Instead, he uses an enhanced Sing ability that applies minor healing and a permanent Damage Up buff in a targeted 3-tile radius, steadily powering up his allies. His two crows serve as melee attackers with a wind-based Aeroblast ability that includes knockback, and they will aggressively move toward and attack any unit that damages Draven. Once both crows are eliminated, Draven enters Phase 2 by transforming via Form of the Squirrel, gaining +6 Speed Up and replacing his basic attack with Fury Swipes, a weak melee attack that can hit multiple times. He periodically spawns additional squirrels through Birth Squirrel throughout this phase.

The optimal strategy is to kill the crows as quickly as possible before Draven can stack too many Damage Up buffs on them. Inflicting Charmed on the crows prevents them from retaliating when you attack Draven directly, allowing you to chip away at his health during Phase 1 without drawing aggro. Once the crows fall and Draven transforms, his increased speed makes him harder to kite, but his individual Fury Swipes hits are weak. Focus damage on Draven rather than the spawned squirrels, which serve mainly as distractions. Draven has Champion and Robo variants.
