Horny Cat

The Horny Cat is a ranged cat enemy found in the Desert chapter. It attacks at range and its shots inflict Blind, a status effect that impairs the affected cat's ability to target enemies accurately. With 7 HP and moderate damage, it is not a durable threat but the Blind application can disrupt an entire turn for the cat it hits, reducing offensive pressure at a critical moment.

The Horny Cat's name and design reference horned lizards, which in real life spray blood from their eyes as a defense. In the Desert, it typically appears alongside other status-inflicting enemies like the Scorpion Cat and Mangy, meaning cumulative status stacks from multiple sources can pile up quickly on a single cat. Blinded cats that also carry Poison or other effects can fall behind rapidly in a prolonged fight.

Prioritize the Horny Cat early to prevent Blind stacks from accumulating across your party. Its low HP means it falls quickly to almost any focused attack. Cleanse abilities that remove Blind are valuable in Desert chapters where multiple status-inflicting enemies appear in the same room. Cats with ranged attacks can out-range or match the Horny Cat's attack zone and shut it down without risking status effects.
