Tall Skeleton Cat

The Tall Skeleton Cat is a ranged undead cat enemy found in the Boneyard and Desert chapters. Unlike its melee-focused sibling the Skeleton Cat, the Tall variant attacks from a distance while also providing shield to allied units, making it both a persistent ranged threat and a support presence that buffs nearby enemies. Like all skeleton enemies, it has no regular HP and relies entirely on shield to survive.
Its resurrection mechanic works identically to the base Skeleton Cat: when its active shield is depleted, it collapses into a corpse with a large shield pool and revives the following turn unless the corpse is destroyed first. The support role it fills means that allowing it to survive multiple turns makes every other enemy in the room harder to kill by topping up their shields.
The Tall Skeleton Cat should be the top priority in any group fight due to its shield-granting support. Destroying it early denies shielding to melee threats like Shamblers or standard Skeleton Cats. Corpse-destruction abilities are essential here as elsewhere among undead: Desecrate, trample, and bleed effects all prevent the resurrection cycle. Ranged cats can trade blows with it safely but should focus fire rather than splitting damage across multiple targets.
