Charge builds into a status that can be spent or triggered for powerful effects depending on your build. Because the Ball Gag occupies the face slot and grants zero defensive stats, it's a pure offense-via-punishment piece — you are explicitly trading protective face armor for Charge generation. Only worth running if your build has a reliable Charge payoff.

Pairs well with abilities or items that consume Charge for burst effects. Wearing the Ball Gag alongside the Leather Hood and Leather Collar generates 6 Charge per hit taken, enabling fast Charge thresholds and more frequent triggering of Charge-based effects in Bunker fights.
